Temasek set to invest $130 million in Niva Bupa for a minority stake

The proposed investment round led by Temasek is likely to value the company at around ₹11,000-12,000 crore ($1.34 -$1.46 billion), the people said. Multiples Alternate raises $640 million for new fund

Multiples Alternate Asset Management has raised $640m for its fourth Indian-focused private equity fund. The fund aims to increase its size to $1bn with a final close expected in the next five months. Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, IFC and the State Bank of India are the fund's anchor investors. Despite the fund size being $1bn, Multiples plans to use the green-shoe option to increase the final investment to $1.5bn. Founded by Renuka Ramnath in 2009, Multiples has already invested in companies such as Dream 11, PVR Cinemas and RBL Bank.

Carlyle, India's Premji Invest eye stake in auto loan firm TVS Credit: Sources

Private equity firm Carlyle and Indian billionaire Azim Premji's investment unit are in separate talks to invest about $150 million in TVS Credit Services, an arm of scooter and motorcycle maker TVS Motors, two sources told Reuters. The winner of the race to bet on India's fast-growing shadow-banking sector could get a stake of 20%, one of the sources said. A valuation of about 50 billion rupees ($612 million) for TVS Credit is being discussed, both sources said.

NARCL progress hit on government guarantee delay
